Cruising the Seine
Bienvenue à Paris!
At the center of one of the most culturally rich nations in the world, Paris is the unofficial capital of Europe. That capital comes to life here at the French pavilion in World Showcase, as well as elements of the entire country. With the new ride “This is France; Cruising The Seine” comes a new way to experience the culture and history of France. As the name suggests, the guests cruise the Seine River through important eras and cultural moments. More than anything, the ride is a celebration of culture and how it came to be.
Additionally, new gardens and statues (like the famous Place de la Republique) have been added in order to provide the pavilion with a more realistic French feel.
In order to fit the new ride, the pavilion has been expanded northwards. A route to access the ride will be created in the form of a new pathway on the right hand side of the current show building. New facades styled as Parisian town houses will be constructed along this new pathway and flowerbeds/tree beds will be created along the International Gateway to create a very Parisian feel.
